Hi, I am Christeen founder of Having P.U.R.P.O.S.E, Inc. Volunteering as been the single most rewarding thing I have done in my life, it is these experiences that has led to the creation of this organization. My desire to continually give back and help my brothers and sisters' across the world and at home has always been a vital part of my life and it does not matter how small or big the gestures are the receiver is usually grateful for the assistance; and I felt empowered because I can see the change I am being in the world. Every single board member of this organization has been a volunteer at some point in their lives and will continue to do so through this organization. Some of my most rewarding experiences have been spending 4 months in Lesotho in Southern Africa where I was a volunteer for Healthy Youth addressing HIV/AIDS. Before that I was in Ghana working on a school project where I was a volunteer for 2 months physically building the Atanve school block. The primary funder on the school block project was Pencil of Promise and I volunteered through DIVOG. I became the secondary funder on the project while volunteering, and the water project was solely funded by me, friends and family because I saw the need for water to help the village. This experience has taught me that if people and organizations pool resources more can be accomplished.
Now, Atanve has the only school in the District with running water on site, and the project covers 2 villages; and as a volunteer in Atanve I met with the District Chief to advocate that electricity be brought to the school compound and it was done.
Having P.U.R.P.O.S.E have funded girls football programs in the Eastern Region of Ghana, and they are regional champions.
I have volunteered in Carriacou in the Caribbean working with other medical volunteers providing services in a clinic, and in the community educating patients on the impact of diabetes, hypertension and depression, and how to care for themselves.
Now, I will spend the rest of my life providing Charity thru Volunteerism ...come join me, and together we can help to advance communities in Africa and the Caribbean to sustainable development. As Dr. King indicated we can make "a finer world to live in"

What is Your Role?
You can volunteer your time and get a vacation at the same time seeing beautiful countries in the Caribbean, and Africa.
We accept individuals, groups or families.
We are interest in creating long term arrangement with medical institutions as well, where all disciplines can volunteer to provided needed medical care in developing nations in West, East and Southern Africa and the Caribbean.
We want to establish long lasting affiliations with high schools, colleges and universities to create study aboard programs for schools where teachers and students can volunteer their time to teach younger students in Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics Sports and English and to build infrastructures.
We want to bring business personnel who can educate youth and women how to be entrepreneur, fund start-ups, or partner with them in bring great ideas to market.
We will arrange your vacations for you, for one low cost combining that with a rewarding volunteer experience of 2 weeks to 12 weeks you pay for what you can afford. It's an all-inclusive package of charity, volunteerism and vacation.
You vacationed with P.U.R.P.O.S.E and you return home feeling refreshed and fulfilled. Wondering when you can do it again!!
You can be our funder and sponsor any work project that you desire, and we will keep you up to date on all projects.
You can see all projects on this web site from start to finish with the budget sheets for each project as they are developed.
